Nadi Jahangiri RIBA - Studio Director

Founding partner Nadi Jahangiri studied Architecture at the University of Liverpool, The Architectural Association and UNL in London passing his final professional examinations with a Distinction in 1993.

He worked in London and Frankfurt with Foster and Partners working on the Commerzbank HQ and competition winning entries for the German Reichstag and Chek Lap Kok airport in Hong Kong before setting up m3architects in 1997.

Nadi established SCALA architects in 2010.

Nadi and his work have featured in books and magazines all over the world and include:

New York Times.

Recent awards include Winner – International Design Awards 2008, Shortlisted Designer Magazine awards 2009, Glassex Silver award.

His work has featured at the Chicago Arts Institute and he has frequently exhibited at the Royal Academy, The Architecture Centre and the Royal Institute of British Architects.

John Oliver ARB - Studio Director

Before joining SCALA in 2010 John had worked on a wide range of award winning schemes at m3architects, Metropolitan Workshop and Theis and Khan Architects.

John is also involved in Architectural photography and has had his work published in journals and periodicals in the UK and in Europe.

Panos Papassotiriou RIBA - Studio Director

Panos worked for James Campbell Architects and PCKO Architects in London. He was ranked as sergeant in the Arm of Engineers and a senior architect in the Hellenic Army before joining Scala Architects in 2010.

Panos studied Architecture at the UNL, Ba(Hons) and London Metropolitan University, Dip. Arch, where he completed RIBA III and ARB registration. He was an award winning student with build projects and publications.

  7. TENDA ROAD, Mixed use scheme comprising of nursery and children’s centre and key workers accommodation.
  8. NEW HESTON ROAD, housing development for a Registered Social Landlord comprising fair rent and shared ownership units.
  9. SWANSEA ARTS CENTRE, Redevelopment of the former police station at Swansea city centre to introduce student accommodation, art workshops and restaurant facilities.
  10. ISLE OF WIGHT, RYDE, housing regeneration development. Shortlisted for housing design awards in 2007.
  11. CRAVEN PARK, LONDON, high density strategically located landmark regeneration housing scheme in Harlesden.

Allison Ng RIBA - Architect

Before joining SCALA in 2011, Allison worked for bch architects in London as a project architect specialising in ecclesiastical work and a wide range of housing developments.

She has been extensively involved with churches, church halls and clergy houses, helping them to re-order existing buildings or plan entirely new premises.

She has also been involved in numerous special needs housing schemes and is experienced in designing for the disabled, young mothers with babies, key workers, single homeless and those with a history of alcohol or drug dependency.

Allison has a proven record of running jobs on site and is currently leading a new build church project in West Ewell.

David St John ARB - Architect

Before joining SCALA in 2011 David worked for bch architects in London as a project Architect involved in ecclesiastical and housing projects.

These projects included the refurbishment and re-ordering of existing churches, new churches, and new build housing schemes for developers and housing associations.

Earlier experience prior to bch architects, was in the housing sector with rehabilitation and new build social housing projects.

Skillls and experience are broad based including design and production of technical information to building contract supervision and administration.

David is currently working on a new build church and housing scheme for developers and the re-ordering and refurbishment of existing churches.

Stephen Brooks - Director of Strategy

Strategy Adviser
